M. Maharshi Viswaraj, Advocate, is a corporate law practitioner, legal & management consultant, and strategist. He has rich and diverse hands-on experience in handling a variety of legal cases involving complex issues. He also rendered a wide spectrum of functions and services related to capital Markets, corporate Law and strategy. Apart from appearing and representing clients before various courts, he handled a variety of assignments like mergers, acquisitions, demergers, delisting etc. Structuring and drafting of complex corporate transactions and agreements, representation services before High Courts, National Company Law Tribunals, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi etc. are some of his specialties  . He has been actively practicing on cases involving Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, Companies Act, 2013 before various National Company Law Tribunals across India including Principal Bench & National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi.

He has represented a wide range of financial creditors, resolution professionals, corporate debtors, operational creditor, resolution applicant etc. in applications filed under Sections 7, 9 & 10 and also Section 60 (5) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

Before he started his independent practice, he worked in the High Court of Judicature, Hyderabad for the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as a legal researcher and he also worked in National Company Law Tribunal, Hyderabad Bench as law research associate. He is a qualified Company Secretary. He is qualified as an Independent Director by Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

He has made representation and appearance before the High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, Adjudicating authorities established under various corporate laws, drafting and documentation, corporate litigations, capital markets & securities, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, mergers & acquisitions, takeovers.

He has done his B.B.A. LL.B (Hons.) from School of Law, GITAM University (Visakhapatnam).
