October 07, 2023India Law Offices LLP in collaboration with the Iran National Innovation Fund & CISTC organized the second annual India – Iran B2B event for the Medical Equipment Industry in Delhi that was attended by dignitary from the Iran Embassy and more than 40 companies from both countries.
[New Delhi, October 6, 2023] India and Iran’s trading history go back to more than 3000 years. Even when sanctions hit Iran, India did all it could as its faithful ally. Given the expected change in the political climate and the tremendous technical progress Iran has made especially in the Nano-Technology segment and after last years’ success, we once again invited a delegation of leading Iranian companies in the medical devices, AI based equipment, rehab equipment and other high technology medical services sectors for second annual B2B matching session with Indian companies.
The purpose of this event was to strengthen the ties between both nations and open cross-border collaboration opportunities for everyone. Through this evet, on one hand the Indian companies were able to get access to high-tech Iranian technology at a fraction of the cost in the international markets and on the other hand the Iranian companies got an opportunity to transfer their technology to India via joint ventures with Indian companies for peaceful purposes and carve out theiar space in the hugely exciting and fast-growing eco-system of India.
All products in the B2B were permitted under the India – Iran Cooperation Agreement.
This special B2B session was held on 6th October 2023 at the Eros Hotel, New Delhi and was facilitated by Iran National Innovation Fund & Center of International Science & Technology Cooperation (CISTC) from Iran and India Law Offices LLP & ILO Consulting Private Limited from India.

Prior to the commencement of the B2B meetings, Mr. Gautam Khurana gave a brief masterclass to Iranian Companies on various market entry routes for India.
Following the Inaugural Session & masterclass, B2B event was convened in which around six well-known Iranian Companies participated and showcased their products. All the Iranian companies dealt in different segments of medical equipment industry including, Electrosurgical Units, Brain Mapping & Neuro Diagnostic Equipment, Active Carbon Wheelchairs, Cancer Biopsy Systems, Imaging Equipment etc.

On the India side, there were more than 30 Indian companies that participated in the event & met the Iranian Delegates to understand the products and to explore the collaboration opportunities. The full-day event ended with a thank you note from the leaders from both sides and with a promise of holding many more sessions in future so that corporates from India & Iran can exploit more business opportunities with each other not only in medical industry but other sectors as well. Overall, the event was warmly received and appreciated by Companies from India & Iran. Participants from both sides were quite satisfied and excited with the available opportunities & various collaboration possibilities. Just like last year, the event was a great success and a proud moment for our firm.
